Tanesha Beebe is a medical student that graduated from Russell Sage College, Troy, NY in 2016 with a B.A. in Biology with a minor in Sociology. She is an M2 (second year medical student) at Stritch School of Medicine, Chicago.
I am interested in specializing in general medicine with a focus in pediatrics. After graduating from undergrad, I went straight into medical school so I can answer any questions from people who are thinking of going straight into medical school and not taking a gap year. I am originally NYC born and raised but I have been spending my last 4 years right outside of Albany, New York.
In undergrad, I did research at SUNY Binghamton looking at microbial fuel cells as a form of smart energy. Although I am no longer continuing that program, I felt the research experience was a very rewarding time.
As a first year medical student, I have become involved in SNMA, Stritch Pride, PIG (pediatric interest group) and the medical Spanish program. Currently, I still try to maintain being active on campus with various leadership roles within clubs/organizations. I have completed the STAR program at Stritch and am currently enrolled in the Bioethics program.
Outside of medical school, I like to travel around Chicago and visit the different restaurants that the city has to offer. I also like to draw and cook!
If you have any questions about applying to medical school, interviews, or anything else, feel free to reach out and I will help to the best of my ability!
