Mentoring, Advising
My name is Liz Bruno, and I am a first year medical student at the Stritch School of Medicine. I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2015 with a major in Cellular and Molecular Biology and minor in Community Action and Social Change.
I am interested in family medicine but will continue to explore all specialty options over the next few years. As an undergraduate, I was involved in a global health organization that worked to provide health resources to maternal and pediatric populations in underserved areas around the world. I hope to stay involved with similar community health work as a medical student and practicing physician. I am from a suburb of Cleveland and spent several summers interning in an outpatient ophthalmology office at the Cleveland Clinic. I worked in neurology research for three years during undergrad and continued working in the same laboratory full-time for one year following graduation. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding the decision to pursue a medical career, working before medical school, and applying!
