Mentoring, Advising
Hello, my name is David Fine. I am a Stritch medical student that graduated from the University of Michigan in 2015 with a B.S. in Biopsychology and a minor in film. I conducted wound healing research at UIC during a gap year as I applied to medical school.
I am currently a first year medical student at Stritch School of Medicine. I am willing to assist pre-medical students by answering questions they may have in regards to medical school in general, getting ready for the application process, and gap year activities.
I grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago (Deerfield to be specific). At Michigan I was involved in hospital volunteering, APO (a community service fraternity), I was a residential advisor, and I was involved in a research laboratory.
In regards to my professional goals, I currently want to pursue a residency in Emergency Medicine; however, this can easily change as I engage in more clinical experiences in a variety of fields. Coming up with your medical school plan can be a frustratingly daunting process, but there are a lot of different paths that you can take. I would love to offer any help/advice/perspectives that I can in making this process as easy as possible.
