Mentoring and Advising
My name is Hannah Forte. I am a first year medical student who graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in English Literature. After college, I took my summer between May of 2016 and August of 2016 to relax before entering medical school.
So far, I know I'm leaning towards a speciality that allows me to do surgery and clinical work. I'm primarily interested in women's health and maybe working with pediatric patients, so I've been investigating maternal fetal medicine, especially in high risk patients (which Stritch has an excellent record of doing). In medical school, I am involved in currently learning medical Spanish, the Society for Women's Health, and am definitely taking advantage of the opportunities to shadow some incredible physicians. I am also interested in global health and working with underserved populations, which I get to explore more through volunteering at the Community Health Clinci. Outside of med school, I'm an avid reader and love to cook food while have ridiculous dance parties in my apartment with my roommate and our friends. I also love being outside, so I like to run and hike. I am most interested in mentoring students who want assistance with applying to medical school, those who want help on their personal statements, and anyone who really has questions about what medical school really entails!!
