My name is Ben Africk and I am a first year medical student. I graduated from Duke University in 2017 with a BS in Neuroscience. I entered medical school after graduation.
I am a medical student interested in clinical neuroscience disciplines like neurology and neurosurgery. Outside of LUC Mentors, I am part of the executive team of Stritch SOM's Neurosurgery Interest Group and Jewish Student Association. I also participate in research within the Neurosurgery department at LUMC. Outside of medical school I enjoy watching college football and basketball, where you'll find me rooting for my alma mater, Duke! I am interested in mentoring students during the application process to medical school. In this way, I am available to review applications, essays, and other materials related to the AMCAS.
