Mentoring and Advising
My name is Andrew Woerner, and I am a third year medical student here at Loyola. I graduated from San Diego State University with a BS in Biology, and then received my master's degree at Boston University School of Medicine in Medical Sciences.
Currently my interests in medicine are far-reaching from Emergency Medicine to Interventional Radiology. In medical school, I have been remained involved in research, and I have participated in several outreach programs to mentor local underserved high school students who are interested in health care professions. Outside of school, I spend a lot of time watching basketball, in particular, rooting for the ever-struggling Sacramento Kings. Also, during medical school I started a new hobby of taking care of a saltwater reef, which keeps me busy. Between these things, if I have time I also work for Uber and Lyft in order to make a tiny little dent in my school debt.
Feel free to contact me with absolutely any questions regarding the process of pursuing medical school!
