About Her Career:

Academic, professional and personal experiences drew Massiel Tarango to the practice of Immigration and Naturalization Law when she joined Marsal Avila Law Group after earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago in 2002.

Ms. Tarango received her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2005 and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2005.

While interning with The Midwest Immigration & Human Rights Center, she enhanced her knowledge of issues in Immigration Law. Following admission to the Illinois Bar, Ms. Tarango worked for several years as a law clerk in the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
