After spending my time at Loyola, I attended Boston College as a Donovan Scholar in Urban Education. Following this, I have been employed as an 8th Grade Civics Teacher in Peabody, Massachusetts. Here I have attempted to incorporate the Jesuit ideal of service and social justice in my coursework and in my role inside, and outside, of school. I believe that being an educator cannot be the single solitary focus of one subject but must teach the whole person via different modes, points of view, media, etc. Beyond that, our role as an educator doesn't just fit within the confines of a union contract it goes beyond the classroom and our designated working hours. I see this in my role outside of the classroom via athletics as a Track and Field and Cross Country Coach, and as the Advisor to the Higgins Cinema Club.
