Hi! My name is Kathryn Swain. I am currently a first year medical student here at SSOM. I graduated from LUC in 2011 with a BS in psychology and a minor in biology. I did a post-bacc at Dominican University and received a BS in medical sciences in 2015.

I understand how frustrating and stressful applying to medical school can be, I have been there! I did not have much guidance during my first application round and was rejected. I took time off, completed a post baccalaureate program, participated in Loyola's ASPIRE program, and reapplied.
In my free time I enjoy spending time relaxing with friends, doing yoga, and reading non-school related books. Recently I started Mindy Kaling's second book. In school I am involved in a group that crochets beanies for babies in the NICU, volunteering, AMA, and various interest groups.
