Mentoring
My name is Hye-Jin (pronounced Hedge-in) and I am a first-year medical student. I graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in 2015. I majored in Neuroscience & Behavior. After college, I worked with UNICEF USA before entering medical school.
I am passionate about using media as a platform to educate the public about health and wellness and have worked with the chief medical correspondent at the CBS Evening News. I also have a passion for global health and advocacy as demonstrated by my work with UNICEF USA after college.
In medical school, I am interested in Sports Medicine and am exploring PM&R. I am the President of my medical school class and also serve as a tour guide for current interviewees. In my spare time, I love running and training for half-marathons, seeing Broadway shows in the Chicago, and connecting with my incredible classmates.
