My name is Arpan Patel and I am a first-year medical student. I graduated from Northwestern University in 2014. I majored in the Classics (Latin/Greek language and culture). After college, I received a Master's in Health Systems Management from Rush University and worked as a Researcher at the Visible Heart Lab at the University of Minnesota and as an Emergency Room Medical Scribe before entering medical school.

MORE

I was born and raised in Burr Ridge, IL. During undergrad, I was involved in service organizations, pre-med interest groups, breast cancer research, and tutoring. I am excited to mentor any pre-med student who is interested in medicine or is still unsure of what they want to do. I am happy to guide a mentee in the medical school application process and potential options during gap years. I am a M1 at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. I am unsure of which specialty I want to go into, but I currently have an interest in Surgery. I do plan on completing research projects during my time in medical school. I am a big fan of ice hockey. My favorite team is the Chicago Blackhawks, but I closely follow all other teams in the NHL. I'm also into trance/progressive electronic music.
