My primary job is to ensure the continued accreditation of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program at Naval Medical Center San Diego in accordance with the standards established by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), and Naval Medical Manpower Professional Training and Education Command (NMMPTEC). Specific tasks include, but are not limited to, the implementation of a training curriculum, establishing and maintaining accurate and complete records and files on residents and medical students, composing various types of correspondence and reports as needed, and analyzing program content to assist with the development of short- and long-term plans to ensure the continued success and growth of the program.
