About My Career:
I have over 10 years of experience in consulting and the financial sector of private equity. I have spent my entire career in Chicago. I previously left my role at a large Chicago-based private equity group to join two other partners in a new venture, Element 78 Advisors. I met my other partners through prior work relationships and networking. Our business was founded with the intent and ability to realize business owners' goals through financial disciplines, operational expertise and access to capital. We help owners in the lower to middle market set up for exit, secure new financing, or drive growth initiatives. I enjoy learning about new business concepts and brainstorm on how to solve specific challenges.
I started my career at American Capital Strategies (NASDAQ: ACAS) as a junior analyst for the Financial Analysis and Compliance Team. ACAS was a great place for me to begin my career, I was setup with an interview through Loyola's career placement group and was hired along with one of my best friends from Loyola. Our team (10 individuals) was laid off as part of the financial crisis during 2008. My Loyola friend and I quickly pivoted careers and joined a small restructuring group, AEG Partners, as consultants. We navigated through several engagements before having the opportunity to join another Private Equity group, Sterling Partners, later in 2009. At Sterling, I held a variety of roles, all primarily involving operations of the fund or at the portfolio companies. I developed and implemented a new team in 2011, the Portfolio Reporting Group, and was promoted to Director in 2014.
