My name is Brian Opferman and I am a fourth year medical student. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2014. I majored in Biology and minored in Spanish. After college, I worked as an EMT before entering medical school.
At this point in medical school, I am fully committed to Emergency Medicine. I have sent out all my applications for residency and plan to start interviewing in the coming months. I'm sure this will be a dynamic process. In medical school, I was the Vice President of the Internal Medicine Interest Group and a Co-President of the Integrative Medicine Interest Group. Outside of medical school, I try to maintain my pre-med hobbies. I enjoy exploring the city of Chicago and playing sports like intramural volleyball and soccer. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about applying to medical school or taking a gap year.
