My name is Ali AlAsadi and I am first year medical student. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2016. I majored in Biology. After college I worked as a clinical research assistant at Northwestern Memorial Hospital before entering medical school.

MORE

I have multiple specialties in mind such as Urology, General Surgery, and Interventional Radiology. I will be further exploring my options through shadowing and during the clinical years. So far, the first year at Stritch has been wonderful. I am excited to mentor fellow Ramblers, and I think that I could be especially helpful because I am also a Rambler who knows Loyola's undergraduate program and the resources there. I was a non-traditional applicant and I am happy to help with any part of the application process (pre-planning, choosing the right undergraduate classes, personal statement....etc)

I am passionate about clinical research and the role it plays in improving patient outcomes. Outside of academics, I am a big fan of culinary arts and I play soccer. I also enjoy bowling with friends.
